Ahilya Devi Holkar: A Model for Women Leadership – Shefali Vaidya’s Inspiring Address at Wagholi
Wagholi, Pune – On October 9th, the Daakshraadnyi Mahila Manch in collaboration with JSPM College, Wagholi, organized a vibrant Bhondla program for female teachers and students. The event, held on the college campus, featured the esteemed speaker Shefali Vaidya, who delivered a thought-provoking talk on women’s leadership inspired by the life of Ahilya Devi Holkar.
In her address, Vaidya highlighted Ahilya Devi Holkar as an exemplary figure of women’s empowerment, emphasizing her pivotal role in the renaissance of Indian nationalism. “Ahilya Devi is the ideal female leader,” she remarked, citing her leadership as a guiding light for modern women to excel while preserving cultural and civilizational values.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 155 attendees, including female professors and students from the college. Ms. Sujata Satav, Coordinator of Daakshraadnyi Mahila Manch, and Mrs. Sonali Palaskar, representing JSPM Wagholi, played key roles in making the program a success.
The traditional Bhondla celebration added a festive spirit, celebrating both culture and the inspiring message of leadership.
