Pune: The Loni Kalbhor Police have registered a case against a Bangladeshi national residing illegally in the Theur area of Pune district. The accused, identified as Harul Panchanan Biswas (53), had allegedly infiltrated India and obtained forged Indian identity documents to settle in the country.

The complaint was lodged by Amol Vitthal Pawar, a member of the anti-robbery squad, at the Loni Kalbhor police station. Investigations revealed that Biswas had been living on the first floor of the Kakade Building in Theur, under the Haveli Taluka jurisdiction.

    Harul Panchanan Biswas was born in Bangladesh and has been a citizen of Bangladesh since 1972. He reportedly entered India without valid documentation, infiltrating the country’s borders illegally.

    Initially, Biswas lived in West Bengal, later moving to various locations across the country. Recently, authorities discovered that he was residing in Theur, Pune.
  • Forgery and Documents:
    Despite being a Bangladeshi citizen, Biswas allegedly forged multiple Indian identity documents, including:

    • Birth Certificate
    • Aadhaar Card
    • PAN Card
    • Election Commission Identity Card
    • Passport
    • Ration Card

These documents allowed him to appear as an Indian citizen and settle in the area.

Police Action and Legal Proceedings

Based on the complaint, the Loni Kalbhor police have filed a case against Biswas under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Foreigners Act for illegal residence and forgery of official documents.
