AAP, BJP, and Congress set for a fierce battle as Delhi heads to the polls in February 2025.

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday unveiled the much-anticipated schedule for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, setting the stage for a high-stakes political contest in the national capital. The voting for all 70 seats will take place in a single phase on February 5, 2025, with the counting of votes and declaration of results scheduled for February 8. The term of the current 70-member Delhi Legislative Assembly will conclude on February 23.

Addressing the media, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar emphasized the importance of voter participation in sustaining a vibrant democracy. He urged Delhiites to exercise their franchise with enthusiasm, invoking the spirit of the city by saying, “Dilli dil se vote karegi” (Delhi will vote wholeheartedly). “Democracy is a beautiful garden, keep decorating it with your votes,” he added.
