Historic Parade in Pune Showcases "Naari Shakti," Advanced Military Technology, and International Collaboration

Pune: In a historic celebration of the Indian Army’s valor and inclusivity, the 77th Army Day Parade was held at the Bombay Engineers Group and Centre in Khadki, Pune. This year’s event witnessed groundbreaking moments, including the debut of the Agniveer Women Marching Contingent and participation from the Nepal Army Band, highlighting a spirit of international camaraderie.
Agniveer Women Marching Contingent Marks Historic Presence
One of the key highlights of the parade was the inspiring participation of the Agniveer Women Marching Contingent. Led by Captain Sandhya Rao H, the contingent represented the Corps of Military Police (CMP), symbolizing the growing role of women in India’s defense forces. The Agniveer Women Marching Contingent also builds on their pioneering involvement in the All-Women Tri-Services Marching Contingent during the Republic Day Parade 2024. Their disciplined and determined march reaffirmed that courage and leadership transcend gender.
