Know Your Army Exhibition 2025 Opens in Pune: Military Strength and Technological Advancements on Display
Pune's RWITC Hosts the 'Know Your Army Mela' from January 3 to 5, Showcasing Cutting-Edge Defense Equipment and Indigenous Capabilities

Pune, 3rd January 2025 – The Indian Army has officially launched the highly anticipated “Know Your Army Mela 2025” at the Pune Race Course, a three-day exhibition designed to provide the public with a closer look at the strength, technological advancements, and indigenous capabilities of the armed forces. The event, inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today at 3 pm, will remain open to the public until January 5, 2025.
Visitors to the exhibition will experience an unparalleled view of military innovation and operational prowess. The venue, located at the RWITC (Royal Western India Turf Club), will feature an array of military equipment that showcases the Army’s advanced capabilities, including:
- Infantry and Special Forces gear, with highlights such as the K-9 Vajra and 155 mm Bofors artillery.
- Armored vehicles, including the T-90 and BMP-2 tanks that have been critical to India’s defense strategy.
- Air defense systems, featuring cutting-edge technologies like the L-7, ZU-23, Akash, and upgraded versions of these systems.
- A dynamic display of swarm drones and new-generation mobility vehicles designed to revolutionize military operations.

A special section dedicated to the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, a national program aimed at enhancing domestic defense capabilities, features 25 vendors showcasing innovative, domestically manufactured defense equipment. This section highlights India’s growing self-reliance in the defense sector.

In addition to the equipment showcase, a photo exhibition will run throughout the event, detailing the Indian Army’s operational achievements and strategic capabilities. Visitors will also enjoy immersive experiences, including martial music performances, martial arts displays, and live demonstrations featuring Army dogs and horses.
Event Schedule and Guidelines: The exhibition is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, with special performances scheduled from 10 am to 11 am and 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm. For a smooth experience, visitors are encouraged to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion. Access to the exhibition is limited to those with a valid government-issued ID, and no bags other than handbags will be allowed on the premises. Refreshment stalls are available to ensure comfort for attendees.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets or inflammable items will be allowed for safety reasons.
