PM Modi Accuses Congress of Conspiracy to Break India After BJP’s Victory in Haryana
New Delhi:
In a powerful address following the BJP’s triumph in the Haryana Assembly elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing the party of conspiring to “break India.” Speaking from the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Modi hailed BJP’s victory as a “triumph of truth, development, and good governance.”
Drawing symbolism from the Hindu festival, he said, “Today is the day of worship of Maa Katyayini, and the Goddess holds a lotus in her hand. Today, the lotus has bloomed in Haryana.” The lotus, BJP’s symbol, signifies the party’s dominant win in Haryana, where Modi credited the electorate for rejecting false propaganda and choosing development.
Modi also spoke about the peaceful elections held in Jammu and Kashmir after a decade of waiting. While the Congress-National Conference alliance secured a majority, he noted that in terms of vote share, BJP emerged as the largest party. “I congratulate the people of both Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir for their faith in us,” he said.
Congress Accused of Sabotaging National Unity
In his speech, Modi accused Congress of attempting to “end reservations for Dalits and backward classes” and claimed that the party is actively involved in efforts to incite divisions within India. He branded Congress as a “parasitic party” and criticized them for trying to mislead the public by questioning the integrity of national institutions.
Modi went on to highlight the historical significance of the Jammu and Kashmir elections, marking the first poll held after the abrogation of Article 370. “Post-370, Kashmir has blossomed, not burned,” he stated, celebrating the newfound stability in the region.

Farmers of Haryana and Development
The Prime Minister also pointed to the farmer protests that previously rocked the nation, alleging that Congress had tried to ignite unrest among the farming community. “The farmers of Haryana have given a fitting response by supporting BJP,” he declared, emphasizing that the state’s progress has rendered Congress’ narratives ineffective.
In closing, PM Modi reiterated that BJP stands for progress, while Congress, he alleged, continues its efforts to “weaken” the country.
