The establishment of the new police station has been met with immense enthusiasm and gratitude from the citizens of Wagholi, who have long advocated for this facility to maintain law and order in the growing locality.

A Long-Awaited Demand Fulfilled: Efforts Behind Wagholi Police Station

The need for an independent police station in Wagholi had been growing alongside the population boom in the area. Various public representatives and social organizations have been advocating for better law enforcement infrastructure to address rising concerns about crime and law and order.

On August 4, 2023, a key push for the police station came from Sandeep Satav, President of the District Yuva Morcha of the BJP, who submitted an official statement to the state government at Mantralaya in Mumbai. Alongside him, former Zilla Parishad member Rambhau Dabhade and the Gram Panchayat executive board proposed a dedicated site for the police station to the District Collector, laying the foundation for further progress.
